Apple Pear Butter with Cardamom
Sweet, spiced fruit spread perfect for toast, biscuits, or snacking.

water

ground cinnamon

orange juice

sugar

of apples

tsp
vanilla extract

brown sugar

apple cider

tsp
ground cardamom

nutmeg

cloves

Instructions
Peel and core apples and pears. (peeling is optional)
Add apple cider and water and bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer for 40 minutes or until very soft.
Puree while warm, using blender or food processor.
Add pureed fruit to pan and add remaining ingredients
Cook on low heat until brown and desired texture.
Notes
If you add the vanilla add at the end of cooking.
