Ingredients
4slicesor more of your favorite pork bacon
2-4slicesof breadlightly toasted
3tablespoonsmayonnaiseor Miracle Whip
3tablespoonsprepared horseradish sauceadjust to taste
½teaspoonfresh lemon juice
2-3leavesiceberg lettuce per sandwich
1-2slicestomato per sandwich
2-3slicesraw onion rings
¼-½slicesavocadosliced
Instructions
Prepare the bacon: Preheat oven to 400°F. Cut bacon strips in half (or to fit your bread). Weave the halves into a little “bacon block” on a baking tray. Bake until crispy, 15–20 minutes depending on thickness. Drain on paper towels.
Make the horseradish mayo: Mix mayonnaise and horseradish sauce. Add the lemon juice to subtly brighten the flavor. Taste and adjust if needed.
Assemble the sandwich: Lightly toast your bread. Spread the horseradish mayo on each slice. Layer lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado, and bacon. Add more mayo on top if desired.
Optional double-decker: Add another slice of bread in the middle with more toppings. Slice and serve immediately.
