Ingredients
1poundfresh Brussels sprouts
4clovesfresh garlicminced
Olive oil
Saltto taste
Black pepperto taste

Instructions
Trim the ends off the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half lengthwise.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a generous drizzle of olive oil.
Place the Brussels sprouts cut-side down in the pan in a single layer.
Let them cook undisturbed until the cut sides are nicely browned.
Stir, then add the garlic, salt, and pepper.
Cook for another minute or two until the garlic is fragrant and the Brussels sprouts are tender.
Remove from heat and serve hot.
Notes
For softer Brussels sprouts, add a small splash of chicken stock or water to the pan and cover briefly to steam.You can finish the dish with 1 tablespoon of butter if desired for extra richness.
